This half square triangles pattern helps you make a beautiful quilt that can be created from 3”, 4” or the size of your choice square blocks.
You can make your calculations depending on the final size you want your quilt to be.
The present design results from making 9 blocks, each containing 100 squares organized in a 10 x 10 grid.
You can download the complete pattern for the 3 designs below.
SIZES
With 3” half square triangle pieces:
The resulting size will be 9 blocks of 30” x 30” each.
This gives you a final size of a 90” x 90” quilt. Plus a 2” border.
With 4” half square triangle pieces:
The resulting size will be 9 blocks of 40” x 40” each.
This brings out a final size of a 120” x 120” quilt. Plus a 2” border.
You can make 3 very different quilts by changing only the background fabric. The design varies tremendously with this simple change.
With a colorful and rich motif fabric, featuring colors that complement the palette selection, you will achieve a blended and warm result.
A geometric style results from a dark uniform background fabric.
If you choose a floral motif with lots of light color on the background, the result can be the cute design below.
